Dr. Stephan Buse has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management at the Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg ) since October 2005. Earlier he worked in the same capacity at the Chair of International Management at University of Hamburg. He headed that chair provisionally for four years.

His research is focused on following areas of interest:

• Offshoring and Outsourcing of Research and Development (R&D)
• Global Innovation – Strategies to benefit from internally distributed R&D-activities
• Strategic Alliances in R&D

Dr. Buse has a long teaching record in various areas of business administration (Strategic Management, International Management with a focus on International Marketing and International Organizational Behaviour, and Entrepreneurship). In addition he has long-time working experiences as a business consultant and executive coach.
